  9. Paste a passport-size photograph in the space provided on the admit card
  10. Get parent's signature in the box — it's mandatory, not optional

Print at least two copies. One may be collected at the centre. Keep the other safe through counselling too — admit card is needed even after the exam.

City Intimation Slip vs NEET Admit Card

  • City intimation slip came out April 12. That told you which city.
  • This admit card tells you the actual centre — school or college name, full address, your roll number, reporting time.
  • Two different documents. Don't mix them up.
  • And no — showing the admit card on your phone at the centre doesn't work. Printed hard copy only. That's NTA's rule, not a suggestion.

Details to Check on Your Admit Card

Don't just download and print without reading. Open it fully and verify every field.

Something wrong — photo missing, name spelling off, wrong centre, anything — contact NTA immediately through neet.nta.nic.in.

If correction isn't fixed before exam day, National Testing Agency (NTA) allows appearing with the current admit card and corrects records later — but you must report the issue first. Don't assume it'll be fine.

Duplicate admit card will not be issued under any circumstances. NTA has said this clearly. Keep it safe from today.

What to Carry on NEET UG Exam Day

Two things are non-negotiable. Printed admit card — physical copy. And one original photo ID.

DocumentDetails
NEET Admit Card 2026Printed hard copy — colour, A4 size
Photo ID — any one originalAadhaar, Voter ID, Driving Licence, Passport, School ID, Bank Passbook with photo
Passport PhotosCarry extra if admit card instructs
PenBlue or black ballpoint only

Photocopy of ID not accepted. Original only. No printed admit card means no entry. Period.

What NOT to Carry on NEET UG Exam day

This is where most students make mistakes. NTA has zero tolerance.

Mobile phone — banned. Smart watch — banned. Calculator, Bluetooth earpiece, earphones — all banned. Wallet, metallic belt, large buttons on clothes — flagged at entry. Food items — leave outside.

Getting caught with a mobile inside — even switched off, even in your pocket — can mean disqualification from the exam. Not worth it.

Dress Code — Before May 3

NTA has a specific dress code. Light-coloured clothes. Half sleeves only. No full sleeves, no heavy embroidery, no large buttons.

Boys

Light half-sleeve shirt, simple trousers. No watch, ring, cap or belt with metal buckle.

Girls

Light half-sleeve kurti or top with simple salwar or pants. No dupatta, no heavy jewellery, no bangles, no hairpins with metal.

Wearing religious or customary dress? Report to centre by 12:30 PM — one full hour before normal last entry — for proper frisking. Don't show up at 1:25 in customary dress expecting quick entry. It won't happen.

Exam Day Timeline — Plan This Now

TimeWhat Happens
11:00 AMReporting starts at centre
1:30 PMGate closes — last entry
2:00 PMExam begins
5:00 PMExam ends

Reach by 11 AM. Not 1 PM. Not 1:25.

Verification, frisking, seating — all of that takes time when hundreds of students arrive together.

Anyone showing up after 1:30 PM is not allowed inside. No exceptions, no extra time given.

NEET UG Exam Pattern — Quick Reference

180 questions. 720 marks. 3 hours. Physics 45, Chemistry 45, Biology 90. Four marks for every correct answer. One mark deducted for every wrong answer. Negative marking applies — don't guess blindly.

SubjectQuestionsMarks
Physics45180
Chemistry45180
Biology90360
Total180720

All rough work must be done in the question paper itself. A blank space is provided for this. No separate rough sheets. Parents are not allowed inside the centre — they wait outside until exam ends.

Fake Paper Leak Warning

NTA has officially warned all students — fake NEET 2026 question papers are circulating on Telegram and other platforms before the exam. People are selling them. It's a scam. NTA confirmed clearly — any material circulating online claiming to be the paper is fake. Don't buy it. Don't share it. Students found involved in malpractice face debarment and legal action both.
