LIC Scholarship 2026 Income Limit

Regular Scholarship

Applicants must:

• Passed Class 10 or 12 with minimum 60% marks
• Be enrolled in first year of a regular full-time course
• Family income not exceeding ₹2.5 lakh
• Woman sole earning member case: up to ₹4 lakh

LIC Girl Child Scholarship 2026 Eligibility

• Passed Class 10 with 60% marks
• Enrolled in Class 11, 12, Diploma or Vocational
• Family income not above ₹4.5 lakh
• Scholarship valid for 2 years only

Who Cannot Apply for LIC Scholarship 2026

Not eligible:

• Postgraduate students
• Distance or correspondence students
• Part-time or evening classes
• CA, CS, ICWA candidates
• Students already getting private trust scholarships
• More than one student from same family

Exception: SC/ST government scholarship holders can still apply.

Important: Lateral Entry Engineering students are eligible if admitted into second-year B.Tech after Diploma with 60% in Diploma final year.

LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation Scholarship Selection Process

Selection is Merit-cum-Means based.

Priority goes to:

1. Higher marks
2. Lower income
3. Document verification
4. Divisional Office approval

Each LIC Divisional Office selects:

• 80 candidates under Regular Scholarship
• 20 candidates under Girl Child Scholarship

LIC Scholarship 2026 Renewal Rules

Maintain:

• 55% marks in Medical/Engineering
• 50% marks in General courses

Girl Child Scholarship does not renew — fixed at 2 years.
